PERU - 2000

Hoffman went to Peru with friends in May 2001 for a trek from Mollepata over the Salcantay Pass and down on to the Inca Trail into Machu Pichu.

"I found Peru to be spiritual and ancient. Machu Pichu was a wonder; but equally moving was hiking the narrow paths through the mountains, meeting local people, and coming upon an Inca ruin still half buried in the rain forest."
