All over the world the turtle is a symbol of longevity and peace. Stone turtles, like cairns can be left on trails to mark the way. Stone Turtle is built here to celebrate this extraordinary species and to encourage visitors to Garden in the Woods to leave their own stone turtle behind as a prayer for the earth.
