STATIONS OF THE HEART, 2003
I reflected on the Christian Stations of the Cross as an archetypal
journey that reflected the struggles and paradoxes of our humanity.
I created these panels with old tools, cloth, rusty metal,
bark and branches scavenged from the New England landscape.
The layers of change and loss embedded in these objects evoke
a journey through voicelessness, loss, fear and doubt; leading
ultimately to a doorway of clarity and forgiveness.
